Sun Chemical acquired RJA dispersion limited liability company business

Sun Chemical, one of the world's leading producers of organic pigments, announced today that it has acquired the assets and business of RJA Dispersion on March 1, 2017, Japan's DIC Corporation.

     Headquartered in Hudson, Wisconsin, RJA is one of the leaders in the ultra-fine particle and pigment dispersions industry in the digital ink market. RJA's full range of dispersions is mainly used for energy curing (UV), environmentally friendly solvent and waterborne Ink ink. The product system to join, will strengthen the solar chemical company high-performance pigment business diversified product line.

The acquisition supports the company's strategy to continue to expand the global pigment business to sustainable high growth, high value-added product lines and markets.

     RJA dispersions will be part of the solar chemistry high performance pigment digital business unit and will be led by PeterO'Loughlin. As director of the digital business unit, O'Loughlin will lead the integration of RJA dispersions with the company's business and the product portfolio responsible for global growth.
